Israeli soldiers invaded on Wednesday evening Awarta village, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, imposed curfew after sealing the village, and abducted several residents. Local sources reported that armored military jeeps and vehicles invaded the village and stationed themselves in several neighborhoods.
The sources added that dozens of residents, including women, were loaded onto military buses and were moved to the Huwwara military camp, near Nablus.
The residents believe that the army will return to conduct further invasions and arrests.
The army has repeatedly invaded the village following the murder of a settler family (the father, mother, and three children) who were stabbed to death as they slept in their home, in Itamar settlement near Nablus.
No Palestinian group claimed responsibility for the attack and media sources reported that Israel apprehended a foreign worker on suspicions of stabbing the family to death.
Later on, the police arrested several workers from Asia following the attack as part of its ongoing investigation as the attack was not ruled out as being criminally motivated although Israeli officials rushed to blame Palestinian armed groups.
