Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported Sunday that a 71-year-old man was killed, and two residents were wounded, when the Israeli Air Force fired several missiles into an area east of Az-Zeitoun neighborhood, in Gaza City.The sources identified the slain man as Abdul-Karim Az-Zeitouna, 71, the Palestinian Information Center reported.

The sources said that the army carried out several air strikes late on Saturday at night and earlier on Sunday at dawn, leading to excessive damage to several homes, sheds and structures.

The army also bombarded Az-Zanna area, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The attack allegedly targeted resistance fighters; no damages were reported.

The air force further shelled Al-Qarara area, in Khan Younis; damage was reported, no injuries.

Troops also bombarded a shed Ash-Shouka area, in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, causing excessive damage.

Soldiers fired two missiles targeting Ash-Shujaeyya neighborhood in Gaza city; damage was reported, no injuries.
