Israeli colonial settlers damaged, Sunday afternoon, 55 olive trees after spraying them with toxic chemicals in Jaloud village, south of the West Bank city of Nablus.
(Al Ray) Ghassan Daghlas, the Palestinian Authority official who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank, said that Israeli settlers came from the Esh Kodesh settlement, built on village lands, spraying 55 olive trees with toxic chemicals.
He explained that the trees were located in the area of Al-Bayada, owned by the family of haj Mohammed.
Israeli settlers carry out daily attacks against Palestinian lands, uprooting trees and looting properties, with full protection of Israeli forces.
Since 1967, approximately 800,000 olive trees have been uprooted in the occupied West Bank, according to a joint report by the Palestinian Authority and the Applied Research Institute – Jerusalem.
The olive industry supports the livelihoods of roughly 80,000 families in the occupied West Bank.
