Israeli troops kill a Palestinian woman in the West Bank and invade areas at the Gaza borders. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

Israeli soldiers shot and killed, on Wednesday afternoon, a young Palestinian woman at the Za’tara military roadblock, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, after she reportedly attempted to stab soldiers manning the roadblock.

Medical sources said the slain young woman has been identified as Raheeq Birawi, 23, from ‘Aseera ash-Shamaliyya town, west of Nablus.

Za’tara military roadblock, is close to Tapuach Junction, near Tapuach ultra-orthodox illegal colony, built on Palestinian lands between Nablus and Ramallah.

Following the shooting, the soldiers closed the military roadblock, preventing the Palestinians from crossing in both directions, while dozens of additional troops were deployed in the area.

Nasser Jawabra, the head of Aseera ash-Shamaliyya Local council, said that Raheeq was married to a Palestinian man who lives in the United States, and has no political affiliations.

In other news, The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli soldiers have kidnapped, on Wednesday, at least 24 Palestinians, including children, in different parts of the occupied West Bank, among them fifteen from Jerusalem.

Moreover, Israeli occupation tanks, on Wednesday morning,  carried out a limited incursion into Beit Hanoun town, in the northern Gaza Strip.

According to locals, four tanks have entered 50 meters into the region, and were reportedly leveling lands near the border.

Israeli forces carry such invasions frequently, in addition to daily attacks on fishermen and farmers.
