Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmad Qorei is slated to sign, Wednesday, an understanding to establish a coordination office to support the Palestinian Police.

A senior source at the Palestinian Authority reported that the new office aims to reform the Palestinian Police and its structures, in addition to providng it with financial and technical resources in order to enable the P.A police to carry out its duties and provide security and stability.

Qorei and his disengagement ministerial committee will hold a meeting with the American envoys, David Walsh US Foreign Minister depute, and Eliot Abrams, National Security Council deputy.

The two parties are scheduled to discuss the preparations conducted by the Palestinian side to maintain security and control over the Gaza Strip and northern West Bank after the Israeli withdrawal.
