Gaza settlers have begun preparations for building camps in Gush Katif to accommodate tens of thousands of people who are expected to come to help them resist the evacuation.

Settlers have ordered 1,200 tents, 1,000 chemical toilets, some 100 generators in case their power supply is cut off, thousands of meters of cables and thousands of light bulb sockets.

The cost of establishing the camps is expected to reach NIS 9 million. The largest camp is planed near the settlement of Neveh Dekalim.

‘We must take care of tens of thousands of people who will arrive to support us in the struggle against the uprooting,’ Neveh Dekalim council secretary said.

Settlers are also planning a series of mass demonstration over the Pesach holiday in Gush Katif settlement and in the northern west bank ones.

Settlers’ council Yesha expects more than 100,000 participants in the northern West Bank protests, which will start at the settlement of Homesh.
