Eight settlers were arrested in Friday after attacking eight Palestinians near the northern West Bank city of Nablus; one Israeli field commander was also injured by the settlers.

The Israeli online daily Haaretz reported that clashes erupted between settlers groups and Israeli policemen after addition enforces arrived to the scene.

Haaretz reported that Lieutenant Colonel Guy Hazut was mildly injured after clashing with the settlers who hurled stones at the Police and attempted to escape.

The officer was transferred to an Israeli hospital in Petah Tikva.

 The Israeli police arrested eight settlers of Bracha settlement, one settler who hurled stones at them managed to escape.

An Israeli senior military officer said that this attack is considered serious, and is part of repeated attacks carried out by the settlers, “the police will act in determination against the assailants”, the officer added.

Settlers of Itamar, Yitzhar, and Bracha settlements carried repeated attacks against the Palestinian residents, Israeli police and soldiers, over the past six months.
