A Palestinian security source in Gaza reported that Israeli artillery fired several shells at areas in the northern part of the Gaza Strip; three homes were damages.
 
The source stated that "only a miracle" saved the families who were out of their homes when the artillery fired it shells at an area, north of Beit Lahia.
 
Riyadh Zindah, a resident of the shelled area, said that he and his 14 family members, mostly children, were out of their home when three shells hit and damaged it.
 
An Israeli military source reported that the army fired its shells after a Palestinian resistance group fired homemade shells at areas in the Negev.
