The National Resistance Brigades, the armed wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and the Al Aqsa brigades, the armed wing of Fateh, said in separate press release that they are not part of any deal to cease the firing of homemade shells into adjacent Israeli areas. The statements were released after Fathi Hammad, Interior Minister of the dissolved Hamas government in Gaza, said that his government reached an agreement with the resistance to halt the firing of homemade shells.
The two groups called for calling a joint ‘operations room’ to protect the resistance and to coordinate its activities based on the conditions and developments in the area.
They added that resistance against the occupation and its violations is legitimate.
