The Israeli Authorities confiscated oxygen machines that were supposed to be transferred to hospitals in the Palestinian territories, and claims that the machines could be used by the resistance in attacking Israel.The Maan News Agency reported that oxygen generators donated by the Norwegian development agency, were deemed dangerous as Israel claimed that generators attached to the machines would likely not be used for medical purposes.
The Palestinain Ministry of Health said that the machines were supposed to be transferred to government hospital in northern Gaza, and the European Hospital in Gaza city, in addition to Rafidya hospital in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and other medical centers in Hebron and Ramallah.
The Ministry appealed Norway to intervene and pressure Israel into allowing the equipment to reach the hospitals and medical centres.
