A settler rammed a disabled child with her car on Thursday, near the Ibrahimi mosque in the west bank city of Hebron, the Palestinian news agency, Ma’an reported.Head of the Red Crescent emergency ward in Hebron stated that Hiba Abdul Ghaffar, 13, was going to her school when the settler ran her over.
Ghaffar, who is wheelchair-bound, suffered mild wounds and was transferred to the hospital for treatment.
About 500 Israeli settlers live among 165,000 Palestinians in several parts of the ancient city of Hebron that are under the Israeli jurisdiction.
Israeli settlers continually assault the Palestinians in these parts, even under the watchful eyes of Israeli soldiers, who do not always intervene in the violence unless they are directly threatened, or when the clashes between the settlers or Palestinians turn particularly violent.
Their attacks include physical assault, throwing of stones, and firing waste water at the Palestinians.
