A group of extremist Israeli settlers burnt, on Wednesday evening, several Palestinian olive trees and farmlands planted with wheat, in an area located between the villages of Far’ata and Jeet, east of the northern West Bank of Qalqilia.Eyewitnesses have reported that the settlers came from the Gilad illegal settlement, invaded Palestinian lands located between Khallit Dahoud and Khallit Ash-Shaqfaat areas, and burnt around 20 Dunams planted with olive trees and wheat.
They added that local residents and firefighters rushed to the scene, and managed to extinguish the fire before it spread to adjacent lands.
In related news, dozens of Israeli soldiers conducted training in the streets and alleys of the villages of Amateen and Far’ata.
Head of the Amateen Village council, Haitham Suwwan, told the Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) that dozens of soldiers, accompanied by military vehicles, invaded the two villages from different directions, and conducting military drills.
On Wednesday at night, a number of Israeli military vehicles invaded Rommana village, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and broke into the home of Shadi Abu Sweiss, 32, a political prisoner held by Israel.
