Journalist Majd Kayyal was released from detention Thursday, April 17, by Israel’s secret police, who held him incommunicado since his arrest on Saturday, upon his return from Lebanon.Majd Kayyal, the Israeli-Arab journalist who is suspected of meeting with Hezbollah agents, according to Ynet’s Ahiya Raved, was released to house arrest for six days until his hearing at the Haifa District Court.
Kayyal, a journalist and political activist from Haifa, is under investigation for allegedly meeting with foreign operatives during a visit to Lebanon for an event sponsored by As-Safir, a newspaper affiliated with Hezbollah.
