Israeli police kill a Palestinian in Jerusalem, and a child died in Gaza when a bomb left by the Israeli army exploded near him. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

A Palestinian man was shot and killed by Israeli police, on Wednesday, following a suspected attack at a light rail station, near the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.

An Israeli police spokesman stated, via his Twitter account, that nine people were injured when a car struck the Ammunition Hill light rail station near Sheikh Jarrah.

The driver was shot while fleeing the area, he added. Initial Israeli media reports said that a light rail tram had been deliberately derailed.

Earlier on Wednesday at dawn, Dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded the northern West Bank city of Jenin and several nearby towns, and kidnapped two Palestinians.

Soldiers also installed roadblocks, while a few Palestinians were injured after the army invaded Zabbouba village during clashes near Jenin. One Palestinian was kidnapped near Bethlehem.

In Gaza, a Palestinian child was killed on Wednesday evening when an unexploded bomb left by the Israeli military detonated near him in Beit Hanoun town in the northern part of the Gaza strip.

Mohamed Abu Jaraad, 9 years old, sustained critical wounds as he was playing near his home, then was moved to AL Shifa hospital for treatment where he died, local sources reported.

During the 50 days Israeli war on Gaza which end in August, Israeli war planes dropped thousands of bombs all over the Gaza Strip, hundreds of it did not explode and continue to case a risk to the civilians of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, Israeli navy boats attacked a Palestinian fishing boat close to the Gaza shore in the Sudaniyya area, north of Gaza City.

Eyewitnesses said the navy fired rounds of live ammunition at a boat belonging to members of Abu Bakr family, and kidnapped five of them. The kidnapped fishermen were taken to an unknown destination.

The navy frequently targets Palestinian fishing boats in Gaza territorial waters, leading to several casualties, abductions and excessive property damage.

Also on Wednesday, a number of fishing boats came under Egyptian navy fire near Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

In related news, the Israeli army kidnapped a Palestinian near a Kibbutz close to the Gaza border, east of the coastal region, and took him to an interrogation center. Israeli sources said the Palestinian was unarmed.
