According to Fawaz Hammad, the director of the Al-Razi Hospital in Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank, announced that the young man who was critically injured in the drone strike before dawn Sunday, has died of his wounds.
Hammad stated that Wadih Yasser Asous, 18, succumbed, on Sunday morning, to critical injuries after an Israeli drone strike killed six Palestinian young men in the village of Ash-Shuhada, southwest of Jenin.
He added that the young man was admitted to the hospital in critical condition after being struck in the head, neck, and chest with shrapnel from the missile fired by an armed Israeli drone; doctors attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful.
The six young men who were killed by the Israeli airstrike were identified as the four brothers, Nabil Suleiman Asous, 18, Hazza Najeh Asous, 26, Alaa Najeh Asous, 29, Ahmed Najeh Asous, 24, and Rami Najeh Asous, 22, in addition to Muhammad Yasser Musa Asous, 25, who is the brother of the slain young man.
Eyewitnesses reported that the six slain young men were sitting on the edge of the sidewalk, while there were no confrontations occurring in the area.
On Sunday afternoon, large crowds of local Palestinians gathered in front of the Jenin Governmental Hospital to receive the bodies of the six slain men.
Mourners carried the dead on their shoulders while they roamed the streets, making their way to the family homes in Ash-Shuhada village.
Family members said their final goodbyes before funeral participants performed the funeral prayer at the local mosque before laying them to rest in the village cemetery.
