On Friday, Israeli forces abducted four Palestinian citizens in the northern West Bank governorate of Jenin, amid a large deployment of soldiers in the city of Jenin.

Media sources said that before dawn Friday a large army force stormed the city of Jenin and the outskirts of its camp, in the northern West Bank, while sharpshooters were deployed on the rooftops of several buildings.

Sources added that occupation forces conducted a large-scale search operation, storming citizens’ homes, sparking protests among local Palestinians in many neighborhoods in the city.

Israeli soldiers fired many live rounds, tear gas canisters, and concussion grenades at those who resisted the incursion, while reconnaissance drones flew overhead.

Media sources said that there was a large military gathering of the Israeli forces in every direction, while soldiers invaded and ransacked many homes.

The soldiers detained and assaulted citizens, and abducted the young men, Mahmoud Abu Al-Fahd, Anas Qaqour, and Mahmoud Jarar.

Meanwhile, Thursday night, occupation soldiers abducted a 60-year-old Palestinian man from his home in the town of Silat ad-Dhahr, southwest of Jenin.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), Israeli forces abducted the citizen Shaher Siddiq Hussein Rahhal, 60, after invading and ransacking his home in the town.

The PPS added that the soldiers caused damage to his public taxi, which is his means of earning income.

Furthermore, the army also stormed the nearby village of Al-Fandaqumiya, and conducted a search operation; no abductions have been reported at this time.
