The Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression on Tulkarem city and its camp for the 108th consecutive day, while it also continued for the 95th day on Nour Shams camp, amid increasing field escalation and continuous military reinforcements.
A Wafa news correspondent said that the Israeli occupation forces sent military vehicles towards the city and its two camps from the Nitzani Oz checkpoint gate to the west, where they patrolled the main streets, provocatively honking their horns and deliberately driving against traffic, obstructing the movement of citizens and vehicles.
The reporter added that the city is witnessing a large presence of infantry units, especially on Nablus Street along the road connecting Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, going back and forth towards Shuweika Roundabout and Al-Alimi Street, obstructing the movement of citizens and vehicles.
In a related development, the Israeli occupation forces continue their escalation on the ground in the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, holding the Palestinian residents of the camps under a tight siege, preventing residents from entering to check on their homes or take any of their necessities. The sounds of explosions, live ammunition, and sound bombs continue being heard throughout the area.
Over the past few days, Nur Shams camp has witnessed widespread demolition and destruction of residential buildings in the neighborhoods of Al-Manshiya, Al-Maslakh, Al-Jami’, Al-Eyada, and Al-Shuhada, as part of the Israeli occupation’s announced plan to demolish 106 homes and residential buildings in Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps. Terror continues to prevail in the camp, with residents anticipating a new wave of demolitions after being forcibly displaced from their homes.
On Tuesday, the Israeli military invaded a town east of Tulkarem, along with a number of other Palestinian towns and villages.
The Israeli occupation continues to seize homes and residential buildings on Nablus Street and the adjacent northern neighborhood, turning them into military barracks after forcing residents to evacuate. Meanwhile, military vehicles continue to be stationed in the area, with local sources noting that some of these buildings have been under military occupation control for more than two months.
The ongoing Israeli aggression and escalation against the city of Tulkarem and its two camps resulted in the killing of 13 Palestinian citizens, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens were also injured and arrested, and the infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles were completely and partially demolished, burned, vandalized, looted, and robbed.
The aggression also resulted in the forced displacement of more than 4,200 families from the Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps, comprising over 25,000 residents. It also resulted in the complete destruction of more than 400 homes and the partial destruction of 2,573 others. Furthermore, the entrances and alleys were sealed off with earth mounds, transforming them into isolated areas devoid of any sign of life.
