On Friday, the Israeli army continued its bombing and shelling of various parts of the Gaza Strip, including medical facilities, killing dozens of Palestinians and wounding hundreds, and continued the siege and violations of hospitals and medics.

In Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, Israeli military drones and soldiers fired many live rounds at schools where families sheltered, killing two Palestinians and wounding one.

The army also invaded the Sheikh Jabr and Qandeela schools in Khan Younis and forced all the families to evacuate.

In addition, the army resumed its attacks on Nasser Medical Center in Khan Younis, and fired many live rounds at it, not long after firing shells and missiles at homes and buildings in the area.

An Israeli army sharpshooter also killed a Palestinian in front of the medical facility, bringing the number of Palestinians killed in that area to 21, includ8ing medical staff.

The Israeli army continued the siege it imposed on the Al-Amal Hospital, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) runs in Khan Younis, eighteen days ago, after closing all roads leading to it, an issue that prevents the transfer of the slain and wounded Palestinians to the medical facility, and the entry of any supplies to it.

The PRCS said the medics cannot leave the medical center to retrieve the slain and wounded Palestinians just outside the hospital due to the Israeli siege and the fact that the Israeli soldiers and the military drones are firing at anyone moving in that area.

In addition, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Khan Younis said it lost contact with its teams and medics inside the hospital.

In Gaza City, especially in the neighborhoods of Rimal, Sabra,  Zeitoun, Tal Al-Hawa, and Sheikh Ejleen, the army fired barrages of missiles and shells at homes, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians.

Palestinian medics and rescue teams were unable to reach the bombarded area due to ongoing Israeli bombings, and the firing of live rounds from drones at anyone in that area.

In Central Gaza, the army fired missiles at homes in Deir A-Balah and Zawaida, killing fifteen Palestinians, including women and children.

Also, four Palestinians, including three children, were killed and dozens, mainly women and children were injured, after the army fired a missile at a kindergarten where families sheltered in Zawaida.

The Israeli missiles and shells caused extensive damage to homes and buildings in Zawaida after bombing an entire residential bloc, causing many casualties, while the Palestinians continued to try to search under the rubble.

In Jabalia, in northern Gaza, the army fired a missile at a home, killing one Palestinian and wounding many others.

Several Palestinians were also killed and injured in an Israeli Air Strike in the Jabalia refugee camp.

In Beit Hanoun, in northern Gaza, several Palestinians were killed, and many were injured when the army fired a missile at a home at the eastern entrance of the city.

World Health Organization (WHO) chief, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that “Grim reality of patients and health workers in northern Gaza. We need safe, sustained and scaled-up access to reach people across the Strip.”

He added that healthcare workers and patients are both “enduring shocking conditions and facilities that are struggling to remain functional.”

“Grim reality of patients and health workers in northern Gaza. We need safe, sustained and scaled-up access to reach people across the Strip,” Ghebreyesus said in a social media post. “Ceasefire. NOW.”

In addition, Al-Jazeera English quoted Israel’s KANN News stating that Israel has informed the United States, and various countries in the region, that it is preparing for a full-scale military operation in Rafah.

It added that senior United Nations officials are alarmed by the planned assault in Rafah “citing the nearly two million displaced Palestinians sheltering there and Israel’s virtually indiscriminate bombing and shooting during past operations against Gaza’s other cities during the war.”

Al-Jazeera stated that the United States said it would not support an Israeli assault on Rafah without a clear plan of how to protect civilians there, and added that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, “ordered the army to prepare a plan to evacuate civilians there.”

Besides those who are in Rafah, the southernmost city in the Gaza Strip, at the border with Egypt, the vast majority of the Palestinians who are there now already fled their homes in northern and central Gaza, and Khan Younis.

The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that the Israeli army has committed 13 massacres against families, killing 107 Palestinians, and wounding 142 within the last 24 hours.

Israel has now killed at least 27.947 Palestinians and injured more than 67.459, mostly women and children, in addition to about 8.000 who remain missing, largely buried under the rubble, and on streets, while the locals, including the medics and rescue teams, remain unable to reach them due to massive destruction and ongoing bombing.
