In the early hours of Friday, a group of Israeli paramilitary colonizers invaded the Bedouin community of Arab al-Mleihat, situated northwest of Jericho in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.

The General Supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, Hassan Mleihat, confirmed that the colonizers stormed the community twice since daybreak Friday.

Mleihat added that the colonizers ransacked property and intimated the locals with the primary objective to incite fear and intimidate the residents to force them to leave.

The Arab al-Mleihat community has been struggling with a serious increase in daily Israeli violations and attacks by the paramilitary colonizers and the soldiers.

These acts of provocation have recently escalated, coinciding with the expansion of illegal colonial outposts in the northwestern region of Jericho.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Humanitarian Law.
