On Friday dawn, Israeli soldiers fatally shot a Palestinian man in Jenin city, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.

Medical sources have confirmed that the soldiers killed Hussein Jamil Hardan, 42, before taking his corpse away.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated that the army later handed Hardan’s corpse to its medics at the Al-Jalama military roadblock, north of Jenin, before the medics transferred his body to the Jenin governmental hospital.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers shot Hardan with a live round in the back while he was walking near his home.

It is worth mentioning that Hardan was a former political prisoner who was imprisoned by Israel for seven years and was also injured in a previous Israeli invasion. He was a married father of five children.

Hardan’s death brings the number of slain Palestinians since the army began a large-scale offensive on Jenin 73 days ago, to 36.

In addition, the soldiers invaded and ransacked homes in the city, abducted Jihad Abu Jomhour and confiscated his car, after storming his home and ransacking it.

The soldiers also invaded and violently searched many homes in the city, especially the Eastern Neighborhood and the Al-Marah neighborhood.

In related news, Israeli forces killed the Palestinian young man, Hamza Muhammad Sa’id Khammash, 33, after shooting him at close range during a military invasion into the Old City of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have killed 117 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 19 children and 4 women.
