Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man and assaulted another, on Saturday evening, after erecting a military roadblock east of Jericho in the northeastern part of the West Bank.
Media sources said that occupation forces set up a military roadblock in the “Al-Mashru'” area, east of Jericho, opened fire with live rounds and assaulted others.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews treated two citizens, one of whom sustained a live gunshot wound and the another sustained a head injury as a result of assault, near the “Al-Mashru'” area, east of Jericho; they were transported to hospital for treatment.
The Arab 48 News website reported Israeli forces closed the eastern entrance to Qalqilia city and invaded the village of Kufur Qaddoum, east of the city and vandalized a park.
The same source reported that the army invaded the center of Tulkarem city in the northwestern part of the West Bank, while a special Israeli unit stormed a café in Fahma village, southwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank, while occupation forces stormed the town of Burqin, west of the city.
It also reported that Israeli forces invaded the towns of Aqraba and Beita, south of Nablus, while the WAFA News Agency reported that the army invaded the Al-Ein and New Askar refugee camps in the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus, firing live rounds and concussion grenades.
WAFA reported that the army stormed the city of Tubas in the northeastern part of the West Bank and invaded at least one citizen’s home.
Media sources said that occupation forces stormed the town of Silwad, and the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank, and the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of the city.
Soldiers fired tear gas canisters at citizens’ homes, sparking protests among Palestinian youths, while soldiers assaulted a young man at the entrance to the city of Al-Biereh, east of the city.
