On Thursday evening, Israeli soldiers invaded Qalqilia in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank and shot two young men, one seriously.

Media sources said the soldiers invaded the city from its eastern area and chased a Palestinian car while opening fire at it.

The sources added that one Palestinian suffered life-threatening wounds and the other resident sustained a mild injury.

Palestinian medics rushed to the area and moved the two injured Palestinians, who were both in the car, to Qalqilia governmental hospital.

In addition, the army closed the iron gate on the eastern entrance of the city, and prevented the Palestinians from crossing, causing an extended traffic jam.
