Israeli soldiers shot a young Palestinian man late Saturday night during a military invasion of Yatta, a town in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media activist Osama Makhamra stated that several Israeli military vehicles invaded the town, before the soldiers stormed and ransacked the homes of political prisoners Taleb Makhamra, Murad D’eis, and Khalil Abu Arram.
During the invasion, soldiers fired live ammunition, striking a young man in the hand. He was transferred to Yatta Governmental Hospital, where his condition was described as minor.
In a related incident, Israeli forces also invaded the village of Rabud, located south of Dura town, south of Hebron, and stormed the home of detainee Arafat Mohammad az-Zeer.
Earlier Saturday, Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian youth and abducted six others, including two women, across the Hebron governorate.
In Ramallah, in the central West Bank, Israeli soldiers invaded the village of Shuqba, west of the city, triggering protests. The soldiers fired tear gas and concussion grenades, causing multiple cases of suffocation.
In Qalqilia, in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the city and set up a roadblock at its eastern entrance. The soldiers then stopped and searched numerous vehicles and interrogated several Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
These incursions are part of a broader pattern of intensified military activity across the Hebron governorate, and across the occupied West Bank.
