On Thursday afternoon, undercover Israeli soldiers shot a young Palestinian man while he was driving near Kafr Sur village, south of Tulkarem, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources reported that the soldiers fired multiple live rounds at the Palestinian’s car, injuring the driver, before abducting him and confiscating his vehicle.
Eyewitnesses stated that the undercover soldiers, driving a confiscated Palestinian car near Kafr Sur junction, targeted the young man, opened fire on his vehicle, and subsequently seized it.
The witnesses added that the soldiers carried the wounded man into their car, took control of his vehicle, and fled the area.
Following the shooting and abduction, several Israeli military vehicles entered the area, blocking access and preventing Palestinian medics from providing first aid to the injured man.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army began a massive ground invasion and offensive in Tulkarem city, Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camp, more than 50 days ago, resulting in widespread destruction of infrastructure, dozens of homes and buildings, the displacement of thousands of residents.
On Wednesday, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child Mahmoud Mithqal Ali Abu Al-Haija, 12, in the town of Al-Yamoun, west of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have killed 129 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 23 children and 5 women, according to the Shireen Observatory.
Occupation forces have killed 55 Palestinians in Jenin, 20 in Tubas, 18 in Nablus, 14 in Tulkarem, 5 in Hebron, 5 in Bethlehem, 4 in Ramallah, 3 in Qalqilia, 3 in Jerusalem, and 2 in Salfit.
In the Gaza Strip, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 51,305, including 9,828 women, 18.000 children, 12,400 women, 237 journalists, 25 medics while at least 117,096 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel’s military onslaught, latest data by the the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics revealed.
