A Women’s protest at Qalandia checkpoint between Jerusalem and Ramallah began at 10:30 on Tuesday morning

Hundreds of women from all over the globe, in addition to Palestinian and Israeli women from the Women In Black movement will march today in this protest against the ongoing military occupation of Palestinian land by the Israeli military, and demanding the removal of Qalandia checkpoint (one of over 400 Israeli military checkpoints on Palestinian land).

This protest comes as part of an international conference that has been going on for the last three days in Jerusalem, and which was organized by the Women In Black movement.

The conference will end on Tuesday afternoon with a press conference by conference delegates, in which the Women In Black Movement will release a statement challenging war and occupation, violence against women and taking a stand against the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land.
