The Israeli Police arrested on Tuesday Iz Ed Deen Badran, the parliamentary assistant of Arab member of Knesset, Dr. Azmi Bishara.
The police arrived at the home of Badran in Majd Al Kroom village, east of Akko (Acre), broke into the home of Badran and searched it, before arresting Badran.
Lawyer Said Naffa’, member of the Political Bureau of the National Democratic Assembly, headed to the Police Station in the area to represent Badran and receive information on his arrest.
Naffa’ told the Arabs48 news website that he managed to meet Badran. He will be brought in front of the Acre District Court on Wednesday, but it is still unclear if he will be released or receive an extended remand.
