A Palestinian family in the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, was coerced by the Municipality of Israel, to demolish its own animal shelters, to avoid paying excessive fines if authorities carried out the demolition.

The owner of the barns, Omar Seyam, told Wadi Hilweh Information Center (Silwanic) that the Israeli municipality issued a demolition order against the structures for lacking a permit, and added that he had no choice but to demolish the livestock barns.

In related news, the Israeli municipality, on Friday, forced another Jerusalemite family to tear down an addition to their home, overlooking the al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.

The family of Abu Hadwan were required by the occupation authorities to remove an added guest room from their home in Silwan neighborhood, under the pretext of lacking permission to build, the Palestinian Information Center reported.
