Illegal Israeli colonists stormed, on Sunday, Palestinian-owned farmlands near the village of Khirbet Samra, in the Jordan Valley, in the northeastern occupied West Bank, chasing sheep herders off of their own land, according to a local official.
Aref Daraghma, a human rights defender in the Northern Plains of the occupied West Bank told the Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA) that a group of colonizers assaulted Palestinian herders as they were grazing their sheep, forcing them to flee for fear of injury.
In related news, Israeli soldiers opened fire, on Saturday, with tear gas canisters towards Palestinian civilians and heads of municipalities in the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus in the northern West Bank, according to local sources.
The Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission reported that 18 Palestinians suffered the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation at a rally to express the rejection of the constant attacks by illegal colonists under the protection of the occupation army.
The march was attended by the Head of the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, Minister Muayyad Shaaban, in support of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Burqa in the face of the attacks from the Israeli settlers.
On December 23, 2021 illegal Israeli colonists stormed a Palestinian-owned home and a car-wash/workshop at the entrance to Burqa village, before several Palestinians in the area gathered to confront them, forcing them to retreat.
