Israeli troops invade West Bank communities and kidnap civilians, meanwhile in Gaza people protest UN report withdrawal. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
Israeli soldiers invaded, earlier Tuesday, Yatta, Doura and ath-Thaheriyya towns, in the southern West Bank district of Hebron, searched many homes and abducted four Palestinians, including a teenage boy and his mother.
In addition, the soldiers broke into the home of legislator Mohammad at-Till, in the ath-Thaheriyya town, also south of Hebron, and abducted him, after searching his property and several nearby homes.
Furthermore, the soldiers illegally confiscated a bulldozer and a truck, owned by a Palestinian contractor, while he was conducting initial work on a new road, meant for linking Sho’ab al-Batm village with nearby communities in Yatta.
Elsewhere, Israeli Soldiers abducted, on Tuesday morning, three young Palestinian men, in the northern West Bank district of Jenin, during military invasions, and violent searches, targeting several areas in the district.
The soldiers also invaded the nearby Rommana and Zabbouba villages, installed many roadblocks and searched Palestinian orchards in Marj Ben Amer Meadows area.
In Gaza, Palestinians demonstrated outside the United Nations Special Coordinator Office (UNSCO) in Gaza City, on Tuesday, in protest of the UN’s decision to withdraw a report prepared by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), which accused Israel of apartheid policies.
Protesters expressed support for ESCWA chief Rima Khalaf, who resigned from her post on Friday, after she said she was pressured by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to remove the report.
A joint statement issued Tuesday by Palestinian Human Rights Organizations (PHROC), addressed to Guterres, said the groups were “dismayed” by his decision to withdraw the report, and vowed to adopt the conclusions contained in the report in an effort to achieve justice for the Palestinian people.”
