soldiers assaulted and arrested five Palestinian Policemen in the city

The Israeli commander of Hebron area updated his Palestinian
counterpart with the latest decisions concerning conditions to guide
the Palestinian Police patrols in Hebron.
Two weeks ago, Palestinian and Israeli officials agreed that
Palestinian Police will be allowed to patrol the city, however,
unarmed. The policemen assaulted on Tuesday were unarmed.
They were released hours later.
The Palestinian police are not allowed to come close to the quarter
where the settlers live. The army claims they arrested the five
policemen because came close to that area.
