A source at the Palestinian Authority reported on Wednesday that a Palestinian-Egyptian summit will be held in Sharm al-Sheikh resort in Egypt next Saturday.
The summit will discuss preparations for a meeting between the Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas and the US president George Bush, at the White House Thursday May 26, 2005.
The Palestinian-Egyptian meeting will be held after Abbas finishes his Asian tour.
Abbas visited several Asian countries including Japan, China and India and held meetings with their leaders.
The meeting between Abbas and the Egyptian president Mobarak will discuss the efforts to resume the political process in the region, and preparations for the Washington summit.   ÂÂ
