Prison administration is not approving the transfer of al-Khawaly to a private hospital for optical treatment, since prison hospital does not have specialized physicians and medical equipment to deal with his case.
The administration also rejected a request by the family to send a private doctor to prison on their own expense, in order to examine their son.
The parents of al- Khawaly appealed humanitarian organizations and the Red Cross to interfere in order to release their son and enable them provide him with the needed medical treatment. It is worth mentioning that al- Khawaly has two brothers imprisoned Gilboa detention camp, and that his mother was only allowed to visit him only once since he was arrested.
