Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz met Friday afternoon with Palestinian Civil Affairs Minister Mohammed Dahlan in Tel Aviv to discuss coordinating the civil aspects of the disengagement plan, especially control over crossings between Israel and the PA areas.
Following the meeting, Dahlan said that it was the first time Israel was open to discuss the issue of control over crossings, expressing hopes that more accurate and detailed information on the pullout timetable and arrangements will be handed to the PA soon. ÂÂ
To work together to garner international aid to provide crossings with advanced technological equipment was the only known agreement reached during the meeting.
