Israeli army started implementing a plan which aims to isolate 80.000 Dunams of Palestinian lands that belong to residents of several villages and towns, south of the West Bank city of Hebron. The isolation plan includes a forced evacuation of the residents from their villages.

The army has been placing marks and concrete blocks on an area that extends  on 32 kilometers starting from of Carmiel settlement, which was constructed on Palestinian lands east of Yatta, until the area of Wadi Al Khaleel, south of Al Sammoa’ village.

Abdul-Hadi Hantash, an expert of maps and settlements, said that this plan aims to isolate dozens of thousands of Dunams south of Hebron in order to implement three military orders that were issued two months ago.

The orders include constructing walls on the sides of settlement roads number 60 and 317. These walls will isolate at least 3000 residents, and will be installed between settlement roads and the Wall, put into place by Israel after it occupied the West Bank in 1967.

A source at Al Sammoa’ village council reported that the lands Israel intends to grab and isolate is 28000 Dunams.
