Local sources in the Gaza Strip reported, Thursday evening, that clashes took place between Palestinian Resistance Fighters and Israeli soldiers east of Gaza City, and near the al-Shuhada Graveyard. Sporadic gunfire and explosions were heard while medical sources in Gaza reported no casualties.

The clashes took place amidst extensive flights by Israeli F-16 military jets and military choppers that hovered at low altitude over Gaza, causing panic among the residents.

Local sources also said that a Palestinian homemade shell detonated while the fighters were trying to fire it; no injuries were reported.

Earlier on Thursday, Palestinian fighters fired homemade shells into adjacent Israeli areas.
One foreign worker was killed on Thursday in the Nativ Ha’asara kibbutz after he was hit by a homemade shell fired from Gaza.
