Israeli tanks stationed at the Israeli-Gazan border bombarded homes and farms in the northern Gazan town of Beit Lahyia Tuesday.
Tank shells damaged homes, some impacting near farmers who were working their lands. The farmers escaped unharmed, according to local sources.
Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli troops raided a number of west Bank communities and searched homes. Nine civilians were detained by troops, security sources reported.
Invasions were reported in the cities of Ramallah, central West Bank, in addition to Bethlehem and Hebron in the south.
Troops also established military checkpoints between Hebron and Bethlehem. Residents said that soldiers searched their cars and checked their identification cards.
