Israeli bulldozers demolished, Wednesday morning, residential homes and barracks belonging to a Palestinian community in the East Jerusalem town of al-Eizariya.According to the Palestinian News Network (PNN), witnesses in Jerusalem said that the Israeli occupation demolished structures belonging to the Bedouin al-Jahalin community. Among the structures demolished were a home in which resides a family of 10 members, and a barracks used for animals and a store.
The PNN notes that the Israeli authorities are planning to displace the al-Jahalin tribe for continued settlement and apartheid wall expansion. In the 1950s, the al-Jahalin community was forcibly displaced from their homes in the Beersheva.
