Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian young man, on Sunday, during confrontations in the town of Abwein, north of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.
The Ministry of Health announced that Ahmed Mahmoud Hussein Muhareb, 28, succumbed to critical wounds he sustained when soldiers shot him him in the abdomen with live ammunition.
The Israeli army stormed the town of Abwein north of Ramallah, on Sunday morning, and invaded many neighborhood triggering protests among the local Palestinian youths.
Soldiers fired live rounds and tear gas canisters at those who resisted the incursion, shooting two young men; Muhareb, who was shot in the abdomen, and his condition was deemed critical, while another young man was shot in the foot.
A large crowd of local Palestinians gathered, on Sunday afternoon, in front of the Martyr Yasser Arafat Hospital in Salfit, and marched to the town of Abwein carrying the body of the slain young man on their shoulders.
Mourners carried the body to his family home, where loved ones paid their respects, and then to the eastern mosque to perform the funeral prayer, before laying his body to rest in the town’s cemetery.
In the northern West Bank, an armed Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of Palestinian young men southwest of Jenin, killing six young men, while another young man succumbed to critical wounds at a later time.
In total, Israeli forces have killed, on Sunday, eight Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
