Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man on Thursday night, during their invasion of the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

Media sources said that a large army force, including bulldozers, stormed the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus city, sparking protests from local Palestinians.


The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its ambulance crews provided first aid to a 30-year-old young man who was shot in the abdomen with live bullet fragments, before transporting him to the hospital.

Media sources said that soldiers roamed the streets of various neighborhoods, opening heavy fire with live rounds, while bulldozers caused destruction to private citizens’ property, especially in the center of the camp.

Meanwhile, on Thursday night, illegal Israeli colonizers assaulted a Palestinian man in the town of Huwwara, south of Nablus city.

According to Ahmad Jibril, the PRCS spokesman, said that their ambulance crews transported a 48-year-old man to hospital after he sustained bruising as a result of a settler attack in Huwwara town.
