On Friday, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers installed a fence around vast areas of Palestinian-owned land in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.

Osama Makhamra, a media activist, told Wafa that colonizers from the illegal colony of Carmiel, built on stolen Palestinian lands, fenced off large tracts of land belonging to the Awad and Dawood families in the Palestinian community of Khirbet Um al-Kheir.

Makhamra added that the colonizers also placed a mobile structure in the eastern part of the village and barred residents from accessing the area.

Furthermore, the colonizers also released their livestock to graze among Palestinian crops and olive groves across multiple areas in Masafer Yatta, further damaging agricultural lands.

Makhamra warned that these actions are part of a broader plan to seize more Palestinian land in Masafer Yatta, as Israeli expansionist policies aim to forcibly displace residents and make way for colonial expansion.

On Thursday evening, Israeli colonizers assaulted two sisters with special needs at the entrance of Sa’ir town, northeast of Hebron, in the occupied southern West Bank.

Also Thursday, paramilitary Israeli colonizers vandalized solar panels and water pumps belonging to a Palestinian farmer in Khirbet Al-Deir, located in the Northern Plains of the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank. Colonizers also stormed the wilderness of Tuqu’, near Bethlehem, continuing their land seizures and provocations.

In addition, dozens of colonizers stormed Wadi Al-Leimoun area in the village of ‘Aboud, northwest of Ramallah, and installed an outpost on Palestinian land in Turmus Ayya, north of the city,  in the occupied West Bank’s central part.

Furthermore, Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinians and Bedouin communities in Asira Al-Qibliya, a town south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.

Last Wednesday night, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers attacked the property of a Palestinian family near the Hamra military roadblock in the northern Jordan Valley, stealing dozens of the family’s livestock.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
