On Thursday, dozens of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers stormed Wadi Al-Leimoun area in the village of ‘Aboud, northwest of Ramallah, and installed an outpost on Palestinian land in Turmus Ayya, north of the city, in the occupied West Bank’s central part.
Elias Azar, head of the Aboud Village Council, reported that around 100 colonizers invaded the area from the direction of the illegal colony of Beit Aryeh, which was built on stolen Palestinian land.
Azar added that the colonizers attempted to destroy a water reservoir that serves as a vital collection point for several villages and towns north of Ramallah, particularly during water shortages in the summer.
Eyewitnesses stated that the colonizers also attempted to attack a Palestinian resident in the area using sharp objects, but he managed to escape before they could harm him.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
