Delegates of the United Kingdom Association of University Teachers, meeting in East Bourne England, voted Friday to boycott two Issraeli universities, Haifa and Bar Ilan.
Delegates belonging to the leading union of British lecturers voted for an immediate boycott of Haifa University for restricting the academic freedom of staff members who criticize the Israeli government, and of Bar Ilan University for having a branch in the West Bank settlement of Ariel.
