Palestinian sources reported that 10 Palestinian civilians were kidnapped on Wednesday during Israeli pre dawn attacks targeting several part of the West Bank.

The sources said that kidnapping took place in Nablus, Tulkarem and Jenin. Eight of those 10 kidnapped Wednesday were taken during an Israeli army attack on Jenin and nearby villages.

Witnesses said the five civilians were kidnapped during a dawn attack targeting resident homes in Jenin city, while another three civilians were kidnapped when Israeli troops attacked and searched homes in Al Yamoun village near Jenin.

The Israeli army confirmed the kidnappings and said that all kidnapped are on the army ‘Wanted List.’ Palestinian sources said all those kidnapped are civilians.

The Palestinian Center for Human Right stated in its weekly report that by the end of last week the number of Palestinian civilians kidnapped by Israeli troops in the West Bank since the beginning of 2008 has risen to 1,224.
