Several illegal Israeli settlers, on Wednesday morning, invaded the sacred al-Aqsa Mosque, under police guard, despite the closure due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to Days of Palestine.
Local sources said that dozens of extremist settlers, escorted by police officers, forced their way into al-Aqsa Mosque and performed Talmudic rituals near the al-Buraq Wall.
Jerusalem’s Department of Islamic Awqaf and Aqsa Mosque’s Affairs recently closed holy al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem to Muslim worshipers as a precautionary measure to combat the spread of the coronavirus in the occupied territories.
Israeli occupation forces, last week, closed most of the doors to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem, under the pretext of “precautionary measures,” while allowing dozens of settlers to storm it.
