Israeli soldiers burned, on Thursday, a number of Palestinian olive trees in an orchard of the Wad al-Hasseen area, in Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank. The orchard is next to the Keryat Arba’ illegal settlement east the city.
The Maan News Agency said the soldiers burned a tire and pushed it towards an olive tree, before using burning branches to ensure the fire spreads to other trees.
Maan quoted eyewitnesses stating they contacted the fire department, but that the soldiers prevented fire trucks from entering the area, an issue that enabled the fire to spread to several trees.
